Color Matching
Most BIC® Sticky Note™ products are printed with 4-color process inks as opposed to spot color inks. 4-color process allows you to print as many different colors as you want for one price. All non-standard imprint colors will be converted to the closest 4-color process match. A perfect match cannot be guaranteed. The BIC® Sticky Note™ Color Wheel, showcasing the multitude of BIC® Sticky Note™ Standard Imprint Colors, can be found below.

The sides of the Value Non-Adhesive Cubes on pages are printed in spot colors. Standard imprint colors can be found below.

These imprint colors are for reference and ordering purposes and may not be exact representations of the actual colors. If a sheet imprint is requested, the sheets will be printed with 4-color process. This may cause a color difference between the sides and the sheet.

When requesting a non-standard imprint color, please provide the color number or a color sample (swatch or photograph). When color is critical, we recommend a color proof. Color paper proofs may not be an exact match to final product. RGB files will be converted to 4-color process (CMYK), which may result in color shifts.

Minimum Line Weights & Type Sizes
Text can be as small as 6-point type on notepad and cube sheets. Anything smaller will not be legible. Lines must be .5 point thick ( ). On cube sides, the minimum text size is 8 point and the minimum text size for reverse text is 10 point. On beveled notepads, the minimum text size is 12 point along the beveled edge imprint area.

Layout and Hard Copy

Always provide a layout and a hard copy of your art so that we will know exactly where you would prefer art to be placed on your notepad or cube. There is a 1/16" variance on all Sticky Note™ items when cutting the final product. Please provide a color composite for multicolor images.

Phantom or Ghost Imprints

Phantom or ghost imprints are available at no extra charge. 10% is usually recommended if you intend to write over the phantom imprint. As they are very light, text and phone numbers are not recommended as phantoms. Large logos that cover most of the space at the center of the pad look best.

Copy Changes
There is no extra charge for copy changes. Copy changes are available in increments of catalog minimums only.

Heavy Ink Coverage
There is no extra charge for heavy ink coverage or flood coats.

Ruled Lines
Ruled lines, either solid or phantom, are available at no extra charge and will be set without a bleed. Please specify which you prefer; otherwise, we will use solid lines automatically.

Drilled Pen Holes in Cubes

Drilled pen holes are available to hold your favorite BIC® pens for $.60(G) per cube. Drilled pen holes will be located in the upper-left-hand corner of the cube on the glue/ adhesive side. The approximate depth is 1". Please specify 3/8" (ideal for BIC® Clic Stic® or BIC® Round Stic® pens) or 1/2" (ideal for BIC® WideBody® pens without a grip or BIC® Tri-Stic® pens without a grip). Writing instruments sold separately.

Cube Sheet Counts
Cubes have approximately 225 sheets per 1" height. For example, the 3" x 3" x 3" cube has approximately 675 sheets.

Cube Sides
Due to the printing and assembly process of cubes, the imprint colors on the bound side (Side 3) may look slightly different than the other 3 sides.

Special Packaging
For BIC® Sticky Note™ Adhesive Notepads and BIC® Sticky Note™ Non-Adhesive Scratch Pads, shrink-wrapping is available.

Should you have additional packaging needs, such as special inserts or multi-pack shrink-wrapping of other items, please inquire and we will make arrangements to accommodate your request. Keep in mind that some special packaging requests may require additional time and may incur an additional charge.

Proofs
A free paper color proof will be provided on each notepad order over catalog quantity. Product proofs are available on cubes at $50(G) and include side imprints only. A free product proof (of the side imprints only) will be provided on each 3" x 3" x 3" and 2 3/8" x 2 3/8" x 2 3/8" cube order over 480 units and each 3" x 3" x 1 1/2" cube order over 960 units. Please allow additional time on your order when proofing colors. For BIC® Sticky Note™ custom shapes, please allow 3 working days for a fax proof.

Custom Die Shapes
We will stock your custom dies at no extra charge for a maximum of 24 months from last use.

Color Wheel
Most BIC® Sticky Note™ products are printed with 4-color process inks as opposed to spot color inks. Non-standard imprint colors will be converted to the closest possible CMYK 4-color process match. Artwork should be submitted digitally in CMYK format. When color is critical, we recommend a color proof. Color paper proofs may not be an exact match of final product. Make your imprint colorful with a multitude of standard imprint colors! When referencing a standard imprint color on your order, please specify BIC® Sticky Note™ Color Wheel, the color name and the color percentage. For example, when requesting Color Wheel Magenta at 100%, you would simply reference: BIC® Sticky Note™ Color Wheel Magenta, 100%. It's that easy!

Artwork Guidelines

Photographic Images
High-resolution digital images must be supplied digitally in CMYK format and properly sized to the product ordered. Although we cannot guarantee an exact color match, please provide a color sample (swatch or photograph) in order to match artwork as closely as possible. When color is critical, we recommend a color proof. Color paper proofs may not be an exact match of final product. Photographs and other intricate printing jobs may require additional processing and lead time. Cube orders with photographic images printed on the sides will automatically receive a product proof at no charge.

Bleeds
There is no extra charge for bleeds. Please make sure your artwork extends 1/8" beyond the standard notepad size on all sides that bleed. Bleeds are not available on cube sheets. Bleeds on cube sides may require additional processing and lead time.

Flood Coats
There is no extra charge for flood coats. You can change the paper color on one side of your BIC® Sticky Note™ Adhesive Notepad or BIC® Notes Non-Adhesive Scratch Pad by printing a flood coat. Just choose a percentage of one of our standard imprint colors from the Color Wheel. The recommended percentages are 10% to 30% depending on the color. Flood coats are not available on cube sheets.
