Product Safety

A lighter is a flammable gas tank under pressure and a flame generator. Therefore, it must comply with safety regulations in force and safety happens to be BIC's number one priority.

All BIC ® Ligthers sold in the European Union comply with the EN 13869 Child Resistance regulation*.
All BIC® pocket lighters meet or exceed the international safety specifications of the ISO 9994 standard.
100% of BIC® pocket lighters are made at our own factories with state-of-the-art mass assembly equipment.
